Details are always important. Whether that means details in a story, in a movie or fashion. It’s the way you add details to an outfit that makes it more fashionable. Details include necklaces, bracelets, or the studs on a pair of plain black flats.
If you’re wondering how to make sure you have enough details in your outfit, it’s a simple ten point rule. The ten point rule is something I learned back in fashion school. You take a look at your outfit and give yourself a point for each item you have on. For example, one point for your top, two points for your top if it has a pattern on it; one point for a headband; two points for your shoes if they’re fancy. Basically, you add up the points from your outfit and if it exceeds more than ten points, then you have enough details in your outfit! Before you pick out your outfit for tomorrow, try using the ten point rule.
