Knits and Maxi Dresses

Getting ready for work can be such a struggle sometimes. I’m always stuck between wearing something either super comfortable: sneakers, fashionable joggers and a cute top; or dressing up in jeans, booties, crops/sweater tops. Although, there is a way to find the right outfit that is both chic and comfy. The steps involve staring into your closet for a couple minutes and throwing a few clothing pieces onto the floor until you finally find the perfect look. Sounds easy right? (Wink).

I love mixing and matching items. This look involves me wearing a maxi dress with a knit sweater, two perfect pieces that can always be put together and look fashionable. Not to mention this look is super comfortable to wear, even for an eight hour work shift!

I am wearing a light blue maxi dress from Sirens, which was under $20.00. My knit sweater is from H&M, priced at $14.99. It is not too thick of a sweater so it is perfect to wear for spring and even summer nights. For shoes I am wearing nude heels from Aldo that were around $40.00. Heels with this outfit are super cute to wear on a date night or going out into the city with your girls! For work I would suggest wearing light brown booties with a short heel, or nude scandals, just because you’ll be walking around a lot (if you work in a fast paced environment— retail) and don’t want to end up with blisters from heels! To add a pop of colour to the outfit, I wore my red hat from Zumiez, which was $25.00. My necklace is bought from Forever 21 and is an ideal accessory to wear with this kind of look.
