Spring Nail Trends

Whether you’re sitting at a salon or hanging out with your girls on a Friday night, choosing the right nail colour is always a tough decision to make.

Spring is all about pastels, light shades and neturals. According to Glamour, pastel greys, soft pinks, metallics and new neutrals such as a basic white polish are all this seasons must have colours.

John Casablancas Institute’s Body Spa instructor Heather Haslam prefers using O.P.I nail products: “It’s the number one professional line out there that most people use and that’s why we choose to use it. They have the best color selection and everybody is familiar with O.P.I.”

For this spring, Haslam’s top nail colors are pale pinks and bright blues. Neons are irresistable during the warm season which is why they always make appearances on nails during spring and summer.

However, metallics are the latest trending manicures that everyone is rushing to get. “We love the metallics and we do the chrome finish as well, it’s not by O.P.I but we do the chrome top coats on top of the shellac nails, so I love that trend,” says Haslam.

Just when we thought ombré would only be seen in our hair, it seems as if metallic ombré will now be featured on our nails for spring. During the Michael Costello spring 2017 runway show, the models had metallic matte nails that will definitely be trending this year.

For those of you wanting to wear simple nail polish shades, O.P.I colors will be your best friend this season. And for those that want to make a statement with their nails, metallics are the way to go.
