May Lookbook

And just like that, it’s June! This past month has been filled with many adventures in the city, which I will be posting about soon, and new experiences. Stay tuned for a blog post on my adventures around my home town.

After the longest winter that us Vancouverites have had enough of, there was no doubt that we were all thrilled to have the sun peeking out. And now spring is finally wrapping up and summer is just around the corner!

Below is a look at my outfits that I wore throughout May.

What would Spring be without pastels and shades of pink? I am obsessed with this baby pink cardigan from Oak + Fort. The cuts are just so perfect! I wore my suede little black dress from Garage Clothing and styled my Forever 21 necklace and Urban Outfitters black booties with this look.

Every girl should own a denim skirt for summer. There are many ways to style this skirt. You can wear it with cropped hoodies and sneakers or keep it feminine with a tank top and heels. I kept my look simple with my grey Garage Clothing fur slides and my fitted midi white cami, also from Garage. My dark wash denim skirt is from H&M. Social media was taken over by the news of “Men Romphims” the past few weeks and let me just say that some men clearly have not heard the dark side of wearing rompers! (Ladies, you know what I mean.) I’m not sure if men in rompers is going to be a thing or fling, but you can read more about this on the John Casablancas Institute Blog, where I shared an article on Men in Rompers.

This green theme flatlay shows my forest green romper from H&M, a facial sugar scrub from Homesense, my gypsy necklace from H&M, a Revlon mascara and a travel size perfume from L’occitane en Province. I’m looking forward to purchasing new rompers for summer seventeen!

From time to time I tend to exchange my fur slides and sneakers for a pair of high heels. It’s important to break into your heels before wearing them to work for a 6-8 hour day. (Trust me on that one!) Surprisingly, I have been buying a lot of my heels from Forever 21 and they have all turned out to be very comfortable and ideal to wear to work.

I wore my Forever 21 open toe heels with my Aritzia pants, my sky blue top from H&M that ruffles out at the bottom and styled it with my leather jacket from Dynamite. I’m the type of person that will buy a top in multiple colours if I really love it. And that’s exactly what I did with this H&M top!

I wore this outfit to a baby shower a couple weeks ago and I’m loving my new Wildred Allant Pants from Aritzia! Not only are they lightweight for summer, but these pants are easy to wear and can be dressed up or kept casual.

I dressed my Wilfred pants with my H&M top in white and styled my baby pink heels with this look. For accessories I wore my long white choker also from Spring and my white side purse from Aldo. This outfit is one of my top three favourite summer outfits to wear!

Lastly, here is another flatlay incorporating my previous red colour theme on my Instagram. These shorts were just $7 from Forever 21! Talk about a steal. You can spot me wearing them in my Arizona Lookbook. I added my L’occitane en Province products to this flatlay because I am in love with the Roses et Reines Perfume. It will definitely be my scent this summer.
