The first weekend of the summer months has officially begun. Summer consists of lounging at the beach, standing in line for ice cream, biking, hiking and more. I was able to adventure a lot this previous month and so I came up with this list of things to do in June.
Squamish Chief Hike
Hiking is not only a great way to get your cardio workout in, but it’s good for your health and you get to be surrounded by the beauty of nature. There are a ton of places that you can go on hikes from short to long distance trails. One of my favourite hikes to do is The Chief hike in Squamish, B.C.
This hike has the option to go to three peaks, the third being the highest and longest— estimating two hours one way. Be prepared to bring snacks, a lot of water, comfortable hiking shoes and a camera to take snaps of the breathtaking view from the top.
Richmond Night Market
The 17th annual Richmond Night Market is open for summer hours and the food is to drool for. With a variety of retail stalls, live performances, carnival games and rides and an international food court, you will not be bored here!

Savage Creek Golf Course & Driving Range
Mini-golfing is one of my favourite activities to do and it makes for a fun date! Savage Creek is a new golf course and driving range that opened up in Richmond. The prices are the lowest in town and the miniature golf course is huge. This place is a must-visit during summer.
Victoria Island
Do you ever just want to get away and be one with nature? Take a ferry ride to Victoria Island and you won’t be disappointed. There is so much to do in Victoria including hikes, amazing views, good food, local town shops and more. The island is definitely my getaway.
Buntzen Lake
Buntzen lake is located by Anmore, B.C. This lake is a beautiful place to have a picnic while sitting next to the large lake and you can rent kayaks at reasonable prices.
The best part is that you can hike along the water of the lake. The hike itself is about three hours long and there are perfect view spots within the trails for all you nature lovers to sit and relax.
Country Vines Winery
Ladies, call up your best friends and get your wine game on at the Country Vines Winery in Richmond, B.C. This winery is located at the Richmond Country Farm and open for free wine tastings! Yes, I did just say free. The winery is open Thursday to Sunday from 11:00am to 6:00pm.
