John Casablancas Institute’s Fashion students put together two fashion shows on July 28th: District 157 and Dissidence. The show was held at the Roundhouse Community Centre and was hosted by JCI Fashion graduate Emma Leger, alongside with videographer and photographer, Steven Kruger.
It takes a lot of hard work and commitment to run a professional fashion show. From booking a venue, casting models to planning an entire night, JCI Instructor Joan DeRaucourt lead two fashion classes into producing a successful show.

Emma Leger and Steven Kruger were phenomenal hosts last night and definitely knew how to light up the room. All net proceeds from the show went towards Covenant House Vancouver, who we have been partnering with for ten years!
DISSIDENCE
Dissidence was all about the young, the reckless and street style. This show consisted of mixing and matching different types of fabrics and adding sporty details to a couple of the looks.
“CITY STREETS ARE THE REAL RUNWAYS.”
From daring looks with pops of color, District 157 delivered an amazing show to end the evening. Layers and cutting-edge styles were definitely a theme for this show.
